LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Authorities released the name of a person believed to have shot a man and a woman before turning the gun on himself.
Alberto Gutierrez, Jr., 44, died of a gunshot wound to the head as a result of suicide, the Clark County Coroner's office said.
North Las Vegas police are investigating Gutierrez's role in a double shooting that led to the death of one of the victims.
Hamlet Similien, 22, died from a gunshot to the head as a result of a homicide on Nov. 13, the coroner's office also reported.
Similien was one of two people who were shot by a gunman in the 3100 block of Plumwood Lane about 8:30 p.m., NLV police said.
Police searched the complex for a suspect, even employing the use of a Special Weapons and Tactical team.
Police later found Gutierrez dead, authorities said.
The other wounded victim, a woman, was hospitalized in critical condition.
