Police seeking armed downtown Vegas carjacker

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Police released a photo of a person who is believed to have robbed a woman at gunpoint in downtown Las Vegas.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, the incident happened in the 500 block of S. 7th Street just after 1 a.m. on Nov. 2.

Police said the victim was in her vehicle when the suspect grabbed her by the hair and pointed a small framed black revolver to her face.

The suspect demanded she exit the vehicle, police said.

After she got out of the vehicle, the suspect entered the car and fled south on 7th, according to Metro.

Police described the suspect as a person in their 50's with gray short hair, 5'8" to 6' in height and 165-180 pounds.

Police urge anyone with information on the case to call Metro's Robbery Section at 702-828-3591 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
