MT. CHARLESON (FOX5) -
Work to lengthen State Route 158 towards Mount Charleston will restrict lanes this weekend.
The Nevada Department of Transportation said crews will also add a new overlook to a trail on the state road, as well as sightlines between oncoming traffic and a nearby parking lot.
The restrictions will be in effect from 7 a.m. Saturday to 8 p.m. Sunday.
According to NDOT, SR 158 will be closed from the Deer Creek Picnic Area to the intersection of State Route 156.
Residents in the area will be able to access their homes and the mountain will be accessible by SR 156 and SR 157, NDOT said.
