Bicyclist hit, killed by car

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, a bicyclist was hit and killed by a car on Monday.

Police said the victim, identified as 21-year-old Brandon Ochrach of Perris, CA, was traveling across Jones Boulevard near US-95 at around 2:15 when he was hit by a Saturn that had crossed the raised median travel lane.

Ochrach was taken to University Medical Center. He succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.

The driver of the Saturn, an unidentified 18-year-old, was not injured. There is no word yet on possible charges.
