LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A man who police said threatened to shoot people during an attempted bank robbery on Tuesday walked away empty-handed, according to Las Vegas Metro police.
Pictures released to the media on Wednesday show the man passing a note to a teller at the unidentified bank in the area of Fort Apache Road and Tropicana Avenue.
Although the note claimed he would "start shooting," police said the man did not produce a gun.
After seeing the note, the teller walked away from the window, and the man left without taking any money, according to police.
The suspect is an African-American man in his late 40s to early 50s. He was wearing silver-framed glasses, a maroon shirt, a blue cap, khaki shorts and dark shoes.
Anyone with information about the attempted robbery is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (702)-385-5555.
