Police: 2 dead, 1 hurt after murder-suicide in NLV
NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -
Two men were found dead while a woman was hospitalized following an apparent murder-suicide at a North Las Vegas apartment complex.
According to North Las Vegas police, officers responded to a call of shots fired near Cheyenne Road and Pecos Boulevard just after 8 p.m. Tuesday.
When officers arrived on scene, they found one man and a 42-year-old woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Police said the man was pronounced dead on scene, while the woman was taken to University Medical Center in critical but stable condition.
Witnesses told police they saw a man and woman arguing in front of her apartment when the man pulled out a gun and started shooting.
Police learned a person, who was believed to have shot the two victims, ran into his nearby apartment. After several hours, SWAT officers entered the apartment and found the suspect dead from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police.
Police noted the relationship of the people involved remains unclear at this time.
The identity of the two deceased men will be released by the Clark County Coroner's office.
