Wranglers add forward, drop 2

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

In the midst of a scoring slump and facing ECHL teams increasingly bolstered by locked-out NHL players, the Las Vegas Wranglers have added a high-scoring left wing.

The team on Tuesday announced the addition of forward Matt Carter.

The 6'1", 225-pound Carter is playing his first season of professional hockey and comes from the San Francisco Bulls, where he tallied two goals and an assist in 10 games.

Carter spent four years at the University of Prince Edward Island where he averaged more than a point per game and recorded 69 goals and 75 assists in 111 games.

The Wranglers have released right wing Bryce Reddick and left wing Carlo Finucci.

The team will be on the road for the next two weekends, facing the Bakersfield Condors and the Idaho Steelheads. The team will return home to play San Francisco and the Orlando Solar Bears from Nov. 29 through Dec. 1.
