Police make arrest in weekend slaying

Metro police have made an arrest in connection with an altercation over the weekend that resulted in a man's death.

Police said they received a call about a man who had been shot and another who was injured at 6:37 a.m. on Sunday on Point Lobos Drive near Cheyenne Avenue.

Police located the shooting victim along with a man who had several lacerations to his head and face. Both men were taken to University Medical Center. The gunshot victim was pronounced dead.

Police identified the injured man as Jason Sise, 34, of Las Vegas.

Police determined that Sise and the shooting victim had fought inside a nearby residence prior to their arrival.

Sise was arrested and booked into Clark County Detention Center where he faces one count of murder with a deadly weapon.

The coroner will identify the shooting victim in the coming days.
