LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Las Vegas' Eighth Judicial District Court is warning about a scam going around in which people are sent notices about fraudulent default judgments, purportedly from the court.
The court said the scam is an attempt to defraud consumers and attempts to obtain money by promising a monetary award upon payment of court fees to a third party.
The court will never send such a notice and does not engage in such a practice. If you receive one, you are urged to call the clerk's office at (702)-671-0530 or contact police.
