A new two-day large scale festival featuring music, food and art will take over downtown Las Vegas beginning next year.
Organizers plan to stage the Life is Beautiful festival in re-emerging downtown in fall 2013. The event aims to attract locals and tourists to the area, organizers said in an announcement.
The event is attaching itself to downtown as it continues its climb as a bustling area of development in Las Vegas.
Specific plans were not immediately released.
The festival is being organized by Las Vegas-based Aurelian Marketing Group, in association with producers Another Planet Entertainment, MAKTUB Marketing and Downtown Project.
Organizers noted MAKTUB Marketing is headed by Joey Vanas, who is a managing partner of the monthly First Friday Las Vegas arts and entertainment festival.
Another Planet is noted as the producer of large scale annual events Outside Lands and Treasure Island music festivals in San Francisco.
Officials did not specify if the Life is Beautiful festival will be an annual event.
