RTC to follow Saturday schedule for Veteran's Day

Posted: Updated:
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada will follow a Saturday schedule Monday, Nov. 12 in recognition of the Veterans Day holiday. Traditionally there are fewer riders and less traffic on this day, so the transit system adjusts accordingly.

The RTC is doing what it can to ease travel concerns for veterans by offering new travel options. The new Downtown & Veterans Medical Center Express bus provides transit service between the Bonneville Transit Center, a new park and ride location at the Cannery Casino & Hotel and the new VA Medical Center.

Eligible veterans can also benefit from door-to-door transportation when it comes to medical appointments. The RTC's Veterans Medical Transportation Network offers rides to veterans throughout the Las Vegas valley to and from the new VA Medical Center, VA Primary Care Clinics and non-VA medical appointments.

For more information on the Saturday schedules and for all RTC transit routes, visit http://www.rtcsnv.com.
