1 hurt after school bus crashes in west Vegas

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The driver of a Clark County school bus was injured after hitting a car and a utility pole near a bar in west Las Vegas on Thursday.

Clark County Fire Department reported the accident about 9:15 a.m. Thursday near Cameron Street and W. Tropicana Avenue.

According to authorities, the driver was attempting to turn left on to Cameron from Tropicana when she failed to yield to another vehicle.

The bus struck the vehicle and veered into the pole located near McMullen's Irish Pub, investigators told FOX5.

Fire officials said there did not appear to be any passengers on board.

The driver was taken to University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
