Drop off your cellphone for a soldier

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

From now until the end of the year, you are encouraged to donate your used cellphone to benefit our soldiers fighting overseas.

RMI Management, in partnership with Cell Phones for Soldiers, has so far collected approximately 200 phones since the program began in July.

You're encouraged to drop off gently-used phones which will be recycled. Proceeds from the recycled phones will be used to purchase calling cards for soldiers.

While late model phones are preferred, any cells may be donated.

"We wanted to give people a way to recycle their old cellphones while at the same time helping the men and women who serve our country," said Steven Parker, president of RMI Management. "By donating old phones, our employees and the community can help our troops make free calls to loved ones."

Phones can be dropped off at the following locations:

  • 630 Trade Center Drive, Suite 100, Las Vegas
  • 7951 Deer Springs Way, Suite 170, North Las Vegas
  • 6170 Ridgeview Court, Suite C, Reno
