
The Clark County Fire Department responded to an early morning fire on the 2700 block of Twistingbow Lane, near Vegas Valley and Mountain Vista on Saturday.
Upon arrival, fire crews found a second-story apartment that was fully engulfed in flames.
Fire crews took an aggressive, offensive approach to keep the fire from extending to surrounding apartments.
Holes were cut in the roof while crews extended multiple hose lines into the apartment.
Despite a partial roof collapse, these combined efforts allowed firefighters to keep the fire from extending to other apartments.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Damage is estimated at $75,000.
Three occupants were displaced.
A total of 44 firefighters responded to this incident.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue and the North Las Vegas Fire Department assisted with this apartment fire.
