LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
People traveling through Red Rock Canyon are being warned to watch out for wild burros this weekend as an earlier nightfall begins.
The Bureau of Land Management said those burros are prevalent along State Routes 159 and 160.
According to BLM, the animals wander onto the road creating safety hazards on Lee, Kyle and Cold Creek roads.
The Bureau said 17 burros and four horses were hit and killed or were euthanized in the past two years.
This weekend marks the end of Daylight Saving Time and the return of Standard Time.
