LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
The newly opened Summerlin High-Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) Flyover Bridge is scheduled to close for inspections on Wednesday.
The northbound flyover bridge is slated to close from Torrey Pines Drive to Summerlin Parkway, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Nevada Department of Transportation said the closure will necessitate an inspection needed in accordance with National Bridge Inspection Standards.
The bridge was built and opened in July to provide a convenient and safe access to Summerlin Parkway from U.S. 95 carpool lanes, according to NDOT. Previously, some drivers would weave across traffic to access Summerlin Parkway, NDOT said.
