Las Vegas Metro police said an armed bandit was responsible for two bank robberies that took place over the last two months, with the latest happening on Wednesday.
According to Metro's Robbery Section, the first of the two hold-ups took place on Sept. 25 on Eastern and Tropicana avenues. The second incident happened Oct. 24 in the area of Russell Road and Valley View Boulevard.
Detectives said, in both hold-ups, the suspect enters the bank, approaches the teller, pulls out a handgun, points it at the teller and demands money.
After the tellers comply, the suspect flees, police said.
Metro described the suspect as a black man, 40-55 years old, 5'8" to 6" and 165 pounds. Police said he was last seen wearing a tan suit, tan shoes, tan ball cap and dark sunglasses.
