Posted: Updated:
HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -

Of the 50 businesses Henderson police checked for alcohol compliance this past weekend, five failed.

The failing businesses are:

  • Enzo's Ristorante, 2724 N. Green Valley Parkway
  • Railroad Pass Casino, 2800 S. Boulder Highway
  • My Lodge Casino, 920 S. Boulder Highway
  • Casino Valle Verde, 697 N. Valle Verde
  • Hammers Grill & Bar, 771 E. Horizon Drive

Officers with the Community Relations Units use underage volunteers who attempt to purchase alcohol at Henderson establishments.

The compliance check was conducted Saturday evening. Police issued citations to the clerks who served or sold to underage customers. They face a maximum penalty of six months in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.

Police said owners or managers of businesses that fail a second or third time can also be cited and face the revocation of their business license.

The Railroad Pass Casino also failed a compliance check back in February.
