The strong gusts are forecasted between 40 and 50 mph, the National Weather Service said.
The advisory is expected to last from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Forecasters expect the winds to intensify during the late morning and afternoon.
Other areas affected by the advisory are Nye County and the western mountains in the Las Vegas valley.
