NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -
Fire destroyed the new home of a mother and son in North Las Vegas overnight.
Firefighters were called to the home at 3840 Sun Spirit Ct. around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, heavy flames and smoke could be seen, NLV fire officials said.
It took fire crews about 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze, which completely destroyed the home.
No injuries were reported.
The fire was ruled accidental, and damages are estimated at $210,000.
A mother and son recently purchased the residence, and were remodeling parts of the home. The two are are now staying with family.
