LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
An inmate housed at Clark County Detention Center was found unresponsive in his cell and later died at the hospital, authorities said Tuesday.
According to Las Vegas Metro police, Rammale Peterson, 26, was found unconscious in his cell about 1:10 a.m. on Oct. 14. Peterson was the only person inside the cell, authorities noted.
He was transported to University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
Metro said Peterson's death appears to be medical in nature. The Clark County Coroner's office is expected to disclose an exact cause and manner of his death.
An investigation at CCDC is also ongoing.
