
It's only October, but the time is now to register your family for Christmas assistance from The Salvation Army.
Registration is taking place Saturday, Oct. 13 at The Salvation Army North Las Vegas Center for Worship and Service, 2828 E. Cheyenne Ave. in North Las Vegas from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
You will have another chance to register on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 2900 Palomino Lane, Las Vegas from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
To register for newborn children through age 14, you are asked to provide the following: ID for each adult in the household, birth certificates for each child, income documentation for household, current utility bill in your name showing current address or lease with recent rent receipt. Guardians and/or foster parents are asked to provide legal documentation.
The Salvation Army will provide two Christmas gifts for each qualifying family. Nearly 2,000 families and 7,000 children are assisted annually by the organization.
