Students at Henderson International School got a tasty treat from Freed's Bakery on Wednesday.
HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -
Freed's Bakery is celebrating a major milestone with a new treat.
The company unveiled a new cupcake in celebration of its 54th anniversary Wednesday.
The cupcake is a product from a children's art class at the Henderson International School, created by the owner of and operator of Freed's Bakery, Max Jacobson-Fried.
"It was a great joy to help these children design a unique cupcake from start to finish," Jacobson-Fried said. "In addition to learning how to work together, the students will be able to see their creation turn into a positive contribution to the community."
The class created a cinnamon apple cupcake with vanilla caramel mousse.
It will be available for purchase at Freed's Bakery in Henderson through the end of October.
Each cupcake is $2.45 or $24 for a dozen.
All proceeds raised from the class cupcake sales during the month of October will benefit a local nonprofit called Helping Hands of Vegas Valley.
