LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
The driver killed following a head-on collision involving a semi-truck and a car on State Road 160 Wednesday has been identified as Kent A. Ralston, 70.
The Nevada Highway Patrol reported the wreck about 11 a.m. Wednesday on Blue Diamond Road around Mile Marker 26, near Mountain Springs.
According to NHP, Ralston failed to maintain his lane as he traveled southbound on State Route 160. His 2002 Ford Thunderbird struck a Freightliner semi truck traveling northbound.
Ralston was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the truck was taken to University Medical Center where he was treated and released.
Traffic on the southbound highway was closed at the wreck, while northbound traffic was diverted onto State Road 159.
