NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -
North Las Vegas Police detectives are asking for the public's help in locating a man who walked away from a care center last Thursday.
Lawrence Salveter, 57, was last seen leaving the North Las Vegas Care Center at 3215 E. Cheyenne at around 10 a.m. on Oct. 4.
Police said Salveter was seen walking east on Cheyenne Avenue toward Pecos Road. He was carrying a bronze cane, wearing a short-sleeved black shirt, black pants and brown shoes. He may have been carrying a brown paper bag and an extra pair of sandals.
Police said Salveter has a history of homelessness and medical issues which put him at great risk.
Salveter told staff he was going to visit the Social Security Office before traveling to Ohio.
