LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Former President Bill Clinton is back in Nevada, stumping in a campaign battleground state for President Barack Obama and Democratic congressional candidates.

The former president brought a folksy approach to a Tuesday rally that drew almost 2,000 people to the Springs Preserve in Las Vegas.

He's talking about choices in the presidential election between Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney.

Senate Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid and U.S. Rep. Shelley Berkley introduced Clinton, and congressional candidates John Oceguera and Steven Horsford also spoke.

Clinton is scheduled later to make fundraising appearances for Berkley and Oceguera.

Berkley is running for U.S. Senate against Republican incumbent Dean Heller.

Oceguera faces Danny Tarkanian. Horsford faces Congressman Joe Heck.

Clinton is slated later to give a banquet speech to the UNLV Foundation.
