LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Health officials have added a 38-year-old Clark County man to the list of people who have contracted West Nile virus in the Las Vegas-area this year.
The Southern Nevada Health District announced the latest human case on Tuesday, which brings the total number to six in 2012.
SNHD said the latest patient was diagnosed with the less serious form of the illness.
Of the five previously reported cases, one death was reported, while one patient remained hospitalized. All other patients were released from hospital care.
