Las Vegas Metro police were investigating two separate incidents involving children hit by vehicles Tuesday morning.
The first of the incidents happened at Durango Drive and Gowan Road just after 6:19 a.m.
According to Metro, a teen was walking outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a Honda Civic.
The boy did not appear to have serious injuries, but he was transported to University Medical Center for evaluation, police said.
A second incident happened at Valley View Boulevard and Washington Avenue just before 6:30 a.m.
According to police, a 12-year-old was walking in a crosswalk, when the child was clipped by the driver's side mirror of a Nissan Pathfinder.
The juvenile did not sustain any serious injuries but was taken to UMC for evaluation, police said.
