LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A fire Sunday caused $55,000 in damage to a home in the southwest part of the valley.
It happened around 4:30 p.m. at 7378 W. Diablo Dr. near Russell Road and Tenava Way. As Clark County Firefighters responded, smoke could be seen coming from the attic and interior of the home.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly, and flames were contained to the building's entryway and garage. A man who was in the home when the fire started was able to escape on his own.
The man was displaced because of smoke damage, fire officials said.
The fire started in the attic of the home. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
