4 pedestrians injured, struck by car

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Four people were injured Saturday when a car left a roadway and drove onto a sidewalk.

Metro police said the accident occurred just after 11:45 a.m. on Veterans Memorial Drive near Washington Avenue.

A 1999 Toyota Corolla was traveling northbound on Veterans Memorial Drive and left the road, striking four pedestrians on the east sidewalk, police said.

A field sobriety test was given to the driver, Uziel Reyes Perez, 35. He was arrested for felony DUI.

The collision remains under LVMPD investigation. The four pedestrians were taken to University Medical Center with injuries ranging from minor to serious.
