COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

With the memory of a particularly violent weekend fresh on many people's minds, the Five Points Association is hoping for some positive national exposure and they want an assist from a willing University of South Carolina student or two.

The association is offering $300 in cash to anyone attending Saturday morning's broadcast of ESPN's College GameDay who creates a positive sign that includes the words "5 Points."

Students are asked to take a picture of their sign and email it to merritt@fivepointscolumbia.com before 10 a.m. Saturday and then try their best to make sure their sign is seen on the air.

The broadcast is scheduled for 9 a.m. - 12 noon on the Horseshoe.

The association will pay the first five students whose signs make it onto the broadcast. Sid and Nancy and Revente have also offered gift certificates.
