LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

After months of build-up, the live action arena production of "Batman Live" will premiere to an audience in Las Vegas beginning Wednesday.

The producers of the show, which is being staged at Thomas and Mack Center, bill it as an action production featuring 42 castmembers playing all of the famed characters from the DC Comics publication.

Besides Batman and Robin, famed villains such as Joker, Penguin, Scarecrow and Catwoman are featured.

The stage will also transform from one iconic set to another for places such as the Batcave and Arkham Asylum.

The live action production will run through Oct. 7. A total of eight performances will be staged.

Tickets are available at the Thomas and Mack box office, 702-739-FANS or UNLVtickets.com.
