The Las Vegas Clark County Library District Foundation was awarded a $4,000 grant from the Best Buy Children's Foundation.
The funds will go toward the library's Young Digital Media Lab project.
It's a new program designed to help bring 21st century digital media skills to valley youth.
The Youth Digital Media Labs will begin in early 2013.
They will provide children and teenagers with access to some of the most up-to-date digital media equipment and technology training around.
Kids will be able to learn how to produce digital media products like publications, photography, videos, web pages and more in the new labs.
"We are delighted to get support from the Best Buy Children's Foundation knowing they are at the forefront of supporting children and teen programs," said Keiba Crear, Library Foundation president. "I look forward to a continued relationship with the Best Buy Children's Foundation as our community partner."
