FOX5 has confirmed former Clark County Deputy District Attorney David Schubert is in custody in San Diego, CA. Schubert is currently at San Diego County Jail and will be returning to Las Vegas
Schubert was supposed to have surrendered for jail back on September 21 in Las Vegas. He never showed.
The former deputy district attorney was known for prosecuting the drug possession cases for several high-profile celebrities such as Paris Hilton and singer Bruno Mars.
Schubert was arrested in March of last year after a police officer stopped him and an associate in a neighborhood east of the Strip. According to an arrest report, Schubert was making a drug buy and cocaine was found in his vehicle.
He later resigned from the District Attorney's Office.
There is no word yet on the circumstances surrounding Schubert being taken into custody in San Diego.
