A Mohave County man was accused of sexually assaulting an adult relative, according to authorities.
The Mohave County Sheriff's office said John Garth Cosgrove, Jr., 45, of Kingman, Ariz. was arrested after the female relative reported the alleged assault.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies interviewed the woman at Kingman Regional Medical Center, where she was being treated for injuries she claimed were from the assault.
She told deputies she was assaulted by Cosgrove during a visit that evening on Sept. 25, according to investigators.
Deputies arrested Cosgrove on Sept. 28, and he was booked into the Mohave County Jail with felony incest and a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court.
According to the sheriff's office, he denied any sexual contact with the woman.
An investigation is ongoing.
