Las Vegas Metro police are seeking a driver who struck a woman and didn't stop to help her.

According to Metro's Traffic Detail, a blue pick-up truck hit a pedestrian at the corner of N. Pecos Road and Cecile Avenue just after 6 p.m. Thursday.

Police said the pick-up stopped to turn right onto northbound Pecos, when it struck the pedestrian, who was crossing in front of the vehicle.

The pick-up drove away from the scene without stopping, Metro said.

The victim, who was identified as 75-year-old Maria Herrera, was transported to University Medical Center with critical injuries.

Police urge anyone with information on the accident to call Metro police at 702-828-4251 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
