Metro chopper damaged in crash

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

A Metro police helicopter was damaged in a crash Monday afternoon at the LVMPD Air Support facility at North Las Vegas Airport.

Police said is happened during a training exercise at around 4 p.m.

The pilot and a second officer were taken to University Medical Center for treatment for minor injuries.

The accident is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
