NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -
North Las Vegas Traffic officers conducted a Joining Forces Safety Event throughout the City of North Las Vegas on Sept. 14.
This event was planned in conjunction with the Statewide campaign known
as "Joining Forces" and made possible by a Traffic Safety Grant from the
Nevada Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety.
The results were as follows, according to NLVPD:
- 8 – failure to yield to pedestrian violations
- 7 – jaywalking violations
- 51 – speeding violations
- 43 – red light violations
- 15 – cell phone violations
- 12 – seat belt/ child safety seat violations
- 50 – driver's license violations
- 79 – registration/ insurance violations
- 60 - other violations
In addition to the 325 citations issued, the following arrests were made:
- 1- D.U.I. arrest
- 2- felony arrests
