LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
An elementary school in the southwest end of the Las Vegas valley was briefly locked down as police were searching nearby for suspects.
According to Las Vegas Metro police, officers attempted to pull a vehicle over in the 6900 block of Silk Oak Court some time Monday.
Police reported the vehicle had been driving fast and erratically. They also said the vehicle may be linked to a burglary that happened earlier in the day.
Police said the vehicle collided into a wall and the occupants inside fled.
As a result, authorities said, nearby Tanaka Elementary School was locked down as they searched the area for a driver and passenger.
Clark County School District said the school lockdown was lifted about 2:45 p.m. with no arrests made.
