LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Former Clark County Deputy District Attorney David Schubert failed to report for his jail sentence Friday morning.
Schubert was sentenced in February to nine months behind bars after being convicted of cocaine possession. He was supposed to surrender Friday morning.
The former deputy district attorney was known for prosecuting the drug possession cases for several high-profile celebrities such as Paris Hilton and singer Bruno Mars.
Schubert was arrested in March of last year after a police officer stopped him and an associate in a neighborhood east of the Strip. According to an arrest report, Schubert was making a drug buy and cocaine was found in his vehicle.
He later resigned from the District Attorney's Office.
