LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
The $17 million Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace has been named the best buffet in Vegas by USA Today, just weeks after opening.
On a recent tasting tour with Bacchanal Buffet Executive Chef Scott Green, Kitty Bean Yancey, travel editor for USA Today, told Caesars that the lobster/corn chowder, Mexican pork carnitas with multiple homemade salsas, Chinese roast duck and dumplings were among the standout dishes.
Caesars says the Bacchanal Buffet represents the decadence of a Roman feast set within a 25,000 sq. ft. fine dining atmosphere. It's touted as a 21st century adaptation of a previous version of the Bacchanal at Caesars that closed in 2000.
Nine globally inspired kitchens are housed under the same roof, serving more than 500 different recipes. The new facility can accommodate 600 guests.
