LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A driver was killed after a vehicle rolled over in northwest Las Vegas early Friday.
Las Vegas Metro police reported the single-vehicle accident just after 3:30 a.m. in the 7100 block of Oso Blanca Road, near Elkhorn Road.
According to Metro, a 1996 Honda was southbound on Oso Blanca when it ran off the road and onto the soft shoulder.
Police said the vehicle traveled into a drainage ditch, causing it to roll over.
The 23-year-old driver was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car, police said.
The driver died on the scene. There were no other people reported in the vehicle.
As of this incident, Metro has investigated 86 traffic-related fatalities this year.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
