Authorities said a 62-year-old Las Vegas man died of blunt force injuries to the head as a result of a homicide.

The Clark County Coroner's office identified the man found in front of an east valley home as Chukwama Ogwurike.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, Ogwurike's body was found at the front door step of a home in the 5100 block of Margo Drive on Sept. 18.

A neighbor observed a man seen fleeing the area at the time of the incident, police said.

Police said officers later found 62-year-old David Magyar sitting in front of a home, about a block away from where Ogwurike was found.

According to Metro, Magyar had blood on his face and clothes and was acting in an unusual manner.

Police said investigators learned the victim and Magyar lived at the same residence, and that Magyar was suspected in Ogwurike's death.

Magyar was booked into Clark County Detention Center on a charge of murder with a deadly weapon.

An investigation into the case is ongoing.
