NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

An Arizona fugitive killed by a U.S. marshal in North Las Vegas this week was shot in the head, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office. Thomas Lars Domagala, 27, was wanted in connection with six different burglaries in Arizona, police said.

According to police, a fugitive task force attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle with three people inside Wednesday, including Domagala. The other people in the car have been identified as Tabitha Alvarez, 26, of Ariz., and Meggan Lecroy, 22.

NLVPD said the vehicle, driven by Alvarez, didn't stop and sped southbound on Martin Luther King. The vehicle struck a car waiting at a stop light and attempted to flee again, but, police said, another law enforcement vehicle blocked the vehicle and kept them from going anywhere.

That was when the occupants fled the vehicle on foot.

The two women were captured almost immediately while Domagala fled to a nearby building under construction, police said.

According to NLVPD, it was there that the Domagala, who was armed with a firearm, was confronted by a deputy U.S. marshal. The man was then shot by the marshal, apparently in the head, based on the coroner's report. He died at the scene.

Alvarez and Lecroy were booked into the Las Vegas City Jail. Alvarez was charged with disobeying a peace officer, obstructing an officer and failure to stop after an accident, among many charges.

Lecroy was charged with obstructing a police officer.

Domagala is believed to be a convicted felon from Tucson, who is wanted for burglaries, including an attack on an elderly man during a home invasion. In that incident, police said, the victim suffered life-threatening head injuries after he was pistol-whipped.
