LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A 60-year-old man has died following a blaze at a mobile home in the east end of the Las Vegas valley, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Authorities said the fire was reported about 7:49 a.m. Wednesday at the Desert Inn Mobile Family Estates in the 3400 block of Death Valley Drive, near Nellis Boulevard and Desert Inn Road.

A neighbor living behind the fire told dispatchers of a reported explosion.

CCFD originally reported a person trapped inside the home.

After crews controlled the fire, firefighters found a man dead inside the burned home, according to fire officials.

Police said they were keeping people away from the neighborhood as a gas leak was been investigated.

There was no official word on what caused the fire. Officials said there were no other injuries.

The fire caused an estimated $15,000 in damage, according to officials.
