LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
In a rare move, Metro police along with representatives from numerous agencies will go door-to-door Wednesday, imploring people to make repairs in a potentially dangerous Vegas neighborhood.
Police from the Southeast Area Command will descend on the Mountain Vista Estates beginning at 8:30 a.m. They will conduct safety inspections, issue notices of fines and violations and urge residents to make necessary repairs.
Police said roughly 22 letters were sent to homeowners in the area, notifying them of various health and safety violations.
Mountain Vista Estates is located near Mountain Vista Street and Vegas Valley Drive.
