Thrown from boat, accident victim flown for treatment

One person was flown by helicopter to a hospital for treatment after being thrown from a boat on Lake Mead Tuesday.

Rangers with the National Parks Service said the passenger was thrown from the boat when it suffered a mechanical problem near Boulder Basin and Hoover Dam.

Specifics about injuries the passenger suffered were not immediately released. No other victims were reported.
