LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A body discovered in an area about five miles from Desert Rose Golf Course Thursday afternoon was identified Friday as Luis Lopez-Solis, 31, the Clark County Coroner's Office said.
Lopez-Solis went missing during Tuesday's rainstorm.
Metro said Friday that Luis Lopez-Solis also went by aliases Cayentano Lopez-Solis and Calletano Lopez-Solis.
Lopez-Solis was found at a Water Reclamation site near Flamingo Road Thursday.
"We were in that area this morning, we searched it quick. We decided it needed another search," said Red Rock Search and Rescue Captain Dana Richardson. "We put some people back there and somebody was found."
The body was found just before 3 p.m.
Richardson told FOX5 it was like finding a needle in a haystack.
"The whole entire area, it's absolute carnage out there. If you don't have an appreciation for what water can do, either six inches or six feet, you'll see it in that wash right now," he said.
Police said the man, identified by his family as Calletano Lopez of Las Vegas, was working at the Desert Rose Golf Course in Las Vegas. He was last seen at around 4:22 p.m. Tuesday.
The missing man's boss told him to leave the golf course and go home. Lopez was not seen again and his personal vehicle was still at the golf course Tuesday evening.
Co-workers of Lopez who helped discover the body said it couldn't be immediately identified.
"There wasn't any clothing from what I saw," said Kam Brian of Par 3 Landscape. "(Lopez) was reported as having a white shirt and blue shorts on and what was visible of the body, he was not wearing a shirt."
A memorial fund has been set up for Lopez-Solis:
