McCarran International Airport plans to add 22 additional flights to serve holiday travelers for Mexican Independence Day.
From Wednesday through Friday, a total of 42 charted or scheduled commercial flights will come to Las Vegas from Mexico.
These flights will bring in close to 6,300 visitors from nine Mexican cities, up more than 5 percent from last year's holiday period.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority reports international travelers stay longer and spend an average of $1,146 per trip on nongaming purchases.
All flights from Mexico will arrive and depart from McCarran's new Terminal 3.
