Christian Cazares

Christian Cazares joined FOX5 in May of 2012 as a Multi-Media Journalist aka "one man band" who reports and shoot his own video.

Born and raised in Southern California, Christian is a proud product of San Diego and graduate of California State University, Monterey Bay. He studied film, broadcasting, radio and theater and holds a bachelor's degree in Teledramatic Arts and Technology.

Christian began his career in 2003 as an intern at Telivisa's XEWT, the Spanish language station for San Diego and Tijuana. He then joined KSMS Univision Monterey and KBNT Univision San Diego before making the leap to the English market.

In 2006, Christian joined KGTV 10News, an ABC affiliate in San Diego, as a Digital Correspondent. He was part of the station's award winning i-Team and contributed stories in Spanish to KGTV's sister station – Azteca America San Diego.

During his time in sunny California, Christian received multiple accolades for his work in the industry including a regional Emmy® from the National Academy of Television Arts and Science (NATAS) for "Best Photography" and a second for an "Investigative News Story."

In 2011, Christian joined KINC's Univision affiliate in Las Vegas before making the move to FOX5.

Today, Christian is happy to be part of FOX5's news team where you can catch him weeknights doing what he loves – reporting from the field. Otherwise you'll see him around town with his adorable dog, Wall-e.
